Mom was definitely sleepy again today. But she was dressed all in peach this day, and I was wearing peach, too. I also had a peach scarf. So I draped it around her so she could feel pretty. One of the other residents commented on how nice it looked.
It was also a special day since they had pecan pie for dessert. She gobbled it up. She has no problem eating these days. Could not get her to smile for her picture, but she did surprise me a bit this day. I let her hold my iPhone as I sat and talked with her and others at the table. As I was distracted with someone else, she began poking at me and calling my name trying to get my attention and help with the phone. I was really shocked and happy since it had been some time since she called me by name. Happy Holidays!
